PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES
The Cooee School is all about assisting people to perform at their best. The core of our classes are after hours or after school performance classes with an arts focus. Using only qualified and experienced teachers your child will not only enjoy the class but will benefit too. Junior, Intermediate and Youth classes result in an end of year showcase of skills learnt. Adult classes focus on industry training in the arts.
Junior
Junior classes aim at developing students for the future. Developing confidence, self esteem, communication skills, artistic talent, presentation & social interaction skills all in a theatre approach, making lessons fun, non-threatening & non-competitive.
The multi-discipline class covers acting, creativity, imagination, speech, group and solo performance, singing and movement and culminates in an end of year performance to parents & friends to build confidence. Classes are for primary school aged children aged 4/5 – 8/9 depending on their level of maturity & advancement.
We also offer classes for preschool children from as young as 1 year old. These classes are designed with the help of mum or dad to add confidence and support learning and development in the young child. There are preschool / child care school activities offered where children learn confidence building, self awareness, and communication development in pronunciation through 30 min fun, high energy, class using song and movement.
Intermediate
Intermediate classes combine the skills developed in Junior classes & directs them into producing artistic, creative and talented responses to the discipline of Arts. The focus is on developing the students social and personal growth while elevating their artistic capability and discipline.
A great introduction to the industry in a friendly and supportive environment delivered by qualified trainers. Ages range from 8/9 to 11/12.
Youth
Youth classes are a logical advancement from the Intermediate curriculum. Providing the same benefits but introducing more challenging tasks & introducing students to conceptual thinking and responses to their arts training.
This class aims to extend the developement of performance skill while refining artistic talent. The Youth classes provide a great foundation for a future in the ‘Theatre Arts” with exposure to industry level training. Ages range from 12/13 to 18.
Adult Classes are also available.
